Sewing
I reckon we have all learned from the Lockdown in March/ April and perhaps this October/ November one has not been quite such a shock to the system. It does seem to be dragging on though, the last month feels like two at least.
I have been spending a lot of time in the sewing room, partly to prevent me going stir-crazy and partly as it is my private domain! You can tell I am living there as a tendancy to omit tidying away after individual projects leads to a state of wild dissarray fairly quickly. The straw which broke it last week was knocking over the sequin jar when finishing up the little trees above. I had to tidy and sweep in order to retrieve as many sequins as possible, but it was needed!
Now I am making coasters and table runners, no beads, buttons or sequins, but lots of different Christmas fabric- guess what? Yes! The mess has exploded again!
I have just been talking to a neighbour who's family decided that their Christmas lights needed to go up early this year; his daughter was holding the ladder and passing drill bits and screws up to him. Several neighbours have put up their lights, and d'you know, when I look out the window in the evenings I often see the faces of people walking past lift and smile. Another definition of generosity I guess.
