Cold, Wet Day

Sandy has the right idea. It may be 9 degrees outside but there is a heavy drizzle coming down sideways and it is too dark to see without lights on. Typical January day,  oh wait, it is only November? Bummer!

The Christmas cactus on the fridge just lept down onto my head and broke several fronds when it landed. Since it brought the box of garlic, a clothes peg and several pinecones (don't ask) with it, I did not attempt to catch anything. After all I have done keeping that plant happy and this is the way it repays me? Cactusesses of today!

Unfortunately  I have to brave the Arctic wastes (Tescos) shortly, sigh, i should have done the errands yesterday when it was dry. But childhood dies hard and mum did not approve of shopping on Sundays.
