 Slugs are unhelpful.  Advice can be unhelpful too. 'If I were you...' can be extremely unhelpful. Ditto 'you should...' and 'why haven't you...

D2 has had her burgeoning business, career, immediate life plans and development, point of doing college, all pulled from under her by the pandemic. Multiply that by 1000s of people, business, incomes. They are told to think positive, learn new skills, and made to feel guilty by the 'at least you are young and healthy' comments.

Unhelpful.

Families of children with disabilities have had their supports removed, physical, mental and future. They're told we are all in this together... no, its turned into more of a divide, conquer, forget the less fortunate.

Unhelpful.

Ordinary people have had their confidence knocked for six, rather like the window of the antique shop on Nassau Street when Dad put a cricket ball through it (in the 1960s!). A friend going to Dublin for a medical appointment next week is anxious about driving, and all I could think of was the old adage: 'Don't follow me, I'm lost too.'
