Various
It is good to hear of the rare events which are taking place these days, with people who are prepared to accept the guidelines and get on with their lives.
A friend's son got married, very small gathering, then Donegal was locked down and they found a place elsewhere for a night's treat. History does not relate whether their extended families were furious to be left out, but at this time I myself think they did a wise thing. Too many weddings and occasions are about keeping extended families happy and making a splash. How many sensible couples will be delighted to start their new lives without a crushing debt?
It is frustrating that Dublin and Donegal are now on level 3, frustrating for those who live there as well as those who do not. It is frustrating that the virus is on the rise. It is also demoralising to hear of the long term damage it is doing to many people. As someone who has lived for years with a 'condition' I know it is mostly those with no close association to ill health who can lightly dismiss chronic pain, illness or suffering.
I guess its a conundrum we are living, treading warily through the minefield of reaction, information, theory, safety, frustration, compliance, disappointment, fear, and all the other mental turmoil.
Good luck to us.
