Sunshine

The past two days have been so sunny and hot that it was a shame to do anything except bask in the gorgeous weather.

However I manned up and visited a friend along the coast to sit by her pond and admire her garden. It was hard work lazing in her lovely garden instead of my overgrown messy plot but, well, I managed! I stayed so late that we went out to watch the Perseids shower and it was amazing. Star-gazing really puts troubles into perspective and helps me to understand  what a blip I am in reality. The night was so still that we could see the stars reflected in the pond, which was beautiful.

Then yesterday D1 and I spent the afternoon with D3 and the Spudnikk. Her place is always breezy so was much cooler and very pleasant. We spent the afternoon chasing the shade, who'd have thought!

And this morning the weather returns to grey skies and downpours so, quilt magazine in hand, I plan to sew some more face masks, then reward myself with a new quilt project. Being practically perfect I of course have no unfinished projects wailing from the press in the corner... Mar Ya!!
